Welcome to our newly appointed governors

Changes to Barrow School governing body

I am pleased extend a warm welcome to new members of Barrow CE Primary School’s governing body following the receipt of nominations for vacancies for parent governors.

Clair Prior (mother of Pippa and Rachel), Nick Thompson (father of Zack), and Gary Williams (father of Zac) are all elected as parent governors, whilst Rachel Morrison (mother of Emma) joins the governing body as a community governor.

Trudy Ryall-Harvey, (formerly a parent governor), is remaining on the governing body in the role of community governor in the short term, and is presently in the process of being appointed by Cheshire West & Chester Council as a local authority governor in the post recently left vacant by Eleanor Johnson.

On behalf of all governors, I am truly heartened by the number and the calibre of persons wishing to serve as governors. It speaks volumes for Barrow School that we have so many interested parents willing to contribute to the future of the school in this capacity. I am sure the entire school community will benefit from their involvement and commitment as governors.
