Plans to further extend the opening of Barrow School - update Friday 19 June

Friday 19 June 2020

Following a successful first week back in school for pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 classes, we have received positive feedback on the measures put into place and the changes to routines that were necessary to support an initial phase of re-opening Barrow School. The children who have attended have settled back into school life.

We have received encouraging responses from parents of pupils in Years 2, 3, 4 and 5 on our ambition to further extend the opening of school. This, together with a review of how the first week has worked out, gives us confidence we can now move to a further phase of re-opening Barrow School to all of our pupils from Wednesday 24 June.

We will continue to monitor, and take note of, local and national guidance that informs our assessment of risk during this second phase of re-opening.

We are looking forward to having pupils back in school on Wednesday, and once again, we extend our thanks to all in the school community for your support and understanding over recent months.
