Year 3/4 Week ending 2.2.18

Date: 2nd Feb 2018 @ 4:25pm

Year 3 and 4 have learnt how to find the perimeter of 2-D shapes this week. They did find it quite tricky measuring and calculating the perimeters, particularly when the sides were in half centimeters e.g. 5.5 cm. The homework this week reinforces their learning. Just to keep you informed; we will be starting MyMaths homework again in the next couple of weeks.

I was really impressed with the class' response to the drama they participated in, linked to our book: The Journey. The children were able to explore different emotions and explain how the characters would react to that emotion e.g. fear: body shakes, fast heartbeat, dry throat, eyes open wide. I look foward to reading their diary entries next week, after our shared writing sessions.

In Science we have been following classifciation keys and some of us had the chance to create our own.

Internet Safety day is on Tuesday 6th February so we will be talking about staying safe online at home and school.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
